Snapshots

  • A snapshot is a copy of a VMS state and data at a specific point in time. It captures the VMS Memory, Disk, and other components, allowing for a quick restoration to a previous state if needed. Snapshots are useful, changed to VM setting, or as a failsafe in case of errors. However, they are not a replacement for regular backups. Snapshots can be created, reverted to, and removed and they provide a quick restoration point without the need to create a full backup. It's important to follow best practices when using snapshots, as they can impact VM performance and storage usage.
